Precautions for use of new T2 soldering head
1. Protective treatment of new soldering iron before use: the new soldering iron head cannot be used immediately. The soldering iron head must be protected before use, that is, a layer of solder shall be applied to the soldering iron head before use. The specific method is: first, connect the power supply. When the temperature of the soldering iron tip rises to be able to melt tin, immediately apply a little thicker tin on the tin wire to the soldering iron tip, and fill the entire working face. Do not put the soldering iron in the place for a long time (more than 5 minutes) after plugging in the power, or the soldering iron tip will be burned black and oxidized to tin, or it will be difficult to "eat tin", commonly known as "burn to death". In case of this situation, you can first power off the soldering iron, Let the soldering iron head cool down, then use a file or emery cloth or clean the steel wire ball to remove the black oxide layer and expose the white metal. Never polish it too hard to reduce the life of the soldering iron head, then plug in the power, and coat the head with a layer of soldering paste. At the same time, use the tin wire. With the temperature rising, the tin wire melts and covers the entire working face. (Tin coating temperature is about 200-250 ℃)
If not, repeat several times until the whole working face is covered with tin.
2. When welding integrated circuits and transistors, the temperature of the soldering iron head should not be too high and the time should not be too long
3. The open soldering iron head cannot be powered on for a long time without use, because it is easy to burn off the electric soldering iron core due to accelerated oxidation, at the same time, the soldering iron head will be oxidized due to long-time heating, or even burned "dead" and no longer "eat tin".
4. When replacing the soldering iron head during DIY, pay attention not to connect the lead with the wrong polarity, and replace it by comparing the color of the original connecting wire. Never connect the lead with the wrong wire, causing the soldering iron head to burn red, or even the heating core to burn off.
5. During welding, rosin type flux shall be used to protect the iron head from corrosion. The soldering iron shall be placed on the soldering iron frame. It should be handled with care and never throw the tin on the soldering iron. When the soldering iron is not used at ordinary times, a certain amount of tin should be kept on the tip. The tip should not be cleaned on sponge and stored on the soldering iron rack;
6. The sponge shall be kept with a certain amount of water, but no clear water;
7. When picking up the soldering iron and starting to use, it is necessary to clean the tip of the soldering iron, but try to reduce the use of sponge during the use process.
8. When using the tin suction device, if it is still difficult to extract tin, you can add some more tin (because the tin wire contains flux), so you can easily extract more tin;
9. The temperature of the soldering head is 350~380 ℃, which is a good welding temperature and can meet the most welding requirements
10. After using it every day, clean it first, add enough tin, and then cut off the power immediately.
